We'll be kayaking from the Crane Prairie Campground boat ramp in Bend, OR. This is a flat water paddle with little to no current. The lake surface is at 4446 feet (1355 meters) elevation above sea level.
SUP are allowed.
Paddlers will move clockwise on Crane Prairie Resevoir in 7.5mi laps until reaching their target distance. The total paddle distance will be 20 or 50 kilometers (short or long course, respectively).
Your kayak should be at least 10.5 feet long. No canoes. The reason: You're unlikely to make the cutoff if you don't have a descent boat.
A 14' is recommended.
Kayaks will be available for rent from Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe, phone (541) 317-9407

Support is limited on the kayak but paddlers are free to return to the boatramp as needed to receive aid.
